Since our founding in 2017, Youth Foundation Nepal (YFN) has been driven by a simple yet powerful vision: to ensure that every child, no matter where they are born, has access to quality education. The challenges are real from limited resources to isolated communities, but so is our determination. Through our efforts, we aspire to create a more equitable educational landscape where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
About us
Over the years, YFN has implemented numerous projects primarily focused on building child-friendly libraries, and establishing solar-powered computer labs with e-library facilities. These initiatives are made possible through the generous support of BOOKS FOR CHANGE and collaboration with local governments and communities.
Our programs are designed exclusively for rural children attending public schools. To date, we have reached approximately 23 schools across seven districts, including Dolpa, Dang, Sarlahi, Gulmi, Makwanpur, Nuwakot, and Lalitpur. By providing access to learning resources and technology, we strive to bridge the gap in educational opportunities for children in remote and underserved areas.
Beyond educational initiatives, YFN also engages with disadvantaged communities to improve livelihoods, provide support during times of need, and facilitate social reintegration programs that empower families and communities.
With every project, we move one step closer to a future where education is not a privilege but a promise accessible to every child across Nepal. Together with schools, local communities, and global partners, we empower children to learn, imagine, and grow.
